Η σύζυγος του Κόντυ Ντέκερ, του παίκτη των Σαν Ντιέγκο Πάντρες ανέβασε πρόσφατα στον λογαριασμό της στο Instagram, κάποιες αποκαλυπτικές φωτογραφίες, στις οποίες δείχνει για ποιο λόγο ήταν κάποτε στα εξώφυλλα του “ Sports Illustrated”.

In 2010 when my life was turned upside down, a few photographers I had worked with sold images of me to the tabloids to make a quick buck and capitalize on the attention I was getting. I was publicly shamed, ridiculed and made to feel like bad things happened to me because I “looked a certain way,” and I “must have been asking for it.” (Other people’s words, not mine.) As a result, I felt dead inside and like a complete fraud, where I couldn’t be my true self. It’s taken its toll on my relationships, my professional life, but most important my own self worth. It’s taken me nearly a decade to get back in front of the camera for photographs for fear someone would betray that trust. And I won’t lie, I was terrified to post pictures I had taken, simply for not wanting to deal with public shaming. But because of amazing photographers like @chadmartel @hoots.shoots @camricephoto & most recently @canahtam …. and the enormous support you guys have all given me, here on this platform, it’s really renewed my confidence and made me feel less ashamed of being who I am. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you to all the people that have been there since the beginning. The ones that have just found me and have NO idea what I’m even talking about. And those I have yet to meet. Thanks again to @canahtam for this amazing shot and for getting me out of the house and all the way to the beach on a Sunday afternoon.
