An unfair underground.

PUBG has a new problem, one unrelated to the much-maligned Event Pass. As was first reported by Kotaku, players have discovered a bug in the recently released Sanhok map that lets them glitch through the ground.

There’s a spot in the terrain where the collision detection doesn’t properly sync up with the textures, allowing players to hide underneath. It’s not just a hiding spot, either. PUBG players can launch unfair ambushes by hanging out under the ground and shooting unsuspecting passersby without ever being seen.

This clearly unfair advantage can be seen playing out in action in the video below created by YouTuber niklas. In the video, you can see a player lose track of another as he disappears under the ground where he eventually guns down his opponent from the unfair hiding spot.

It’s likely something PUBG Corp. will move to patch out quickly. In the meantime, anyone interested in fair play is best served by avoiding the area, which is located behind a building in Sanhok’s Na Kham village.

Sanhok is PUBG’s third map. It’s smaller than the other two, has an exclusive gun, and was released only on PC on June 21.
